Windy MCQP party left sand rather than stars in my eyes

The man who came as Lawrence of Arabia was the most aptly dressed to cope with the sand storm that ruffled more than a few feathers at the MCQP Jungle party held at the Artscape Founder's Garden tonight.

Even had the night been still and barmy, the sandy location, more fairground than garden, was a disappointment. To my expectant eye (more dilated than usual to take in the happy splendour of the event) the magical themed spaces which were a big part of the attraction at these annual costume parties in previous years seemed slapdash.

The only things that made it worth while at all were the fabulous costumes and being with people in a happy space. Obviously MCQP founder and organiser Andre Vorster cannot be held responsible for the wind but inclement weather in Cape Town is a reality that should be better considered.

I think the party was awesone even without drugs.
